Inquest Index is a free, independent service that aggregates publicly available inquest schedule information from coroner courts across England and Wales. It is not affiliated with HM Courts & Tribunals Service, the Ministry of Justice, or any local authority.

No guarantee of accuracy

Data is collected automatically from official coroner court websites and may be incomplete, delayed, or contain errors. Inquest schedules can change at short notice. Not all coroner areas publish their schedules online, and some areas may have data gaps.

Nothing on this site constitutes legal advice. If you need legal guidance regarding an inquest, you should consult a solicitor or contact INQUEST, the charity providing advice to bereaved families.

Data sources and scraping

All data is collected from publicly accessible official coroner court web pages. We link back to original sources wherever possible. Our automated collection respects rate limits and does not place undue load on council websites.
